Puppies for FREE

I have a problem saying no to anything small or tiny! Which is an awful problem when it comes to baby animals. I want every kitten, puppy, squirrel or baby goat we see somewhere :) Stuart knew this before he married me though so I guess he is ok with it!

This past weekend, Stu and I went home to Chapin and Swansea to see family. We were surprised with 9 puppies when we got to his mom's house!

My mother in law's lab had puppies with her pointer hunting dog so they made for some cute babies! They were unexpected, so she is wanting to get rid of them to good homes for free! The puppies will be 8 weeks mid October, so you can start to get them then. They will not be up to date on shots or heart worm or anything, so please if you get one, get your little guy (or girl!) check out asap!

Since some of these sweet babies were more interested in sleeping than meeting us, we don't know how many male and females there are. There are three brown and 6 black. One brown female is already adopted, and one black male, but all others are looking for a forever home :)

If you know anyone who is interested in getting one of these puppies, please let us know!!

Ashley & Austin Jackson

Ash and I grew up close enough to be sisters, but God made us cousins. We lived next door to each other, which meant we shared everything from toys to clothes. Right after her 17th birthday, she started to date Austin Jackson. They got engaged December of 2011 and tied the knot on July 4th this year! I stood beside her as she excitedly said I Do :) Here are some pictures from their special day!

I helped get the flower girl ready by doing her hair!

Kristen and I played bartender while everyone got pictures before the ceremony.

Salkehatchie Summer Services

Salkehatchie holds a special place in my heart! Over the past 7 years, I have met some amazing people and made some really special relationships.
Bill Brown started the Fairfield Salkehatchie camp and was the leader when a big group from Salem UMC started going in 2007.
When it came to choosing an officiant for our wedding, he automatically came to mind. I could not have been more excited to have had someone who holds such a special place in my heart and who has been such a wonderful and caring friend of my family’s.

I was not able to go to Salkehatchie this year, but Mom went back after taking a year off and is even a site leader! I went up last night to see her and visit with everyone at the camp. I took this picture on the way home J Each year everyone is given a cross necklace.
This was my very first necklace! I have given others away; one to a little girl on my mission trip in Dominican Republic and one to an ex boyfriend.

Each year, you are choose a house to work on for the week doing anything from fixing their roof, to painting some walls. Here are some previous years from my Salkehatchie sites!
