Salkehatchie
holds a special place in my heart! Over the past 7 years, I have met some
amazing people and made some really special relationships.

Brown started the Fairfield Salkehatchie camp and was the leader when a big
group from Salem UMC started going in 2007.
When it came to choosing an officiant
for our wedding, he automatically came to mind. I could not have been more
excited to have had someone who holds such a special place in my heart and who
has been such a wonderful and caring friend of my family’s.
I
was not able to go to Salkehatchie this year, but Mom went back after taking a
year off and is even a site leader! I went up last night to see her and visit
with everyone at the camp. I took this picture on the way home J Each year everyone is
given a cross necklace.
This was my very first necklace! I have given others
away; one to a little girl on my mission trip in Dominican Republic
Each
year, you are choose a house to work on for the week doing anything from fixing
their roof, to painting some walls. Here are some previous years from my Salkehatchie sites!
