Stuart and I are so excited to have had so many friends and family share our special day with us! We could not have asked God for a more beautiful wedding day, and thank you again to our parents for making all this possible! We have not stopped talking about how perfect every single detail turned out. Weeks ahead of time we just kept saying we can't wait for the wedding day to get here so everything can just finally come together. Now looking back at pictures, I really can't believe how perfect everything did come together for us! Thank you again for everyone who shared in this special time in our lives.
Details Revealed! If there are other parts of the wedding that you would like to know about, please feel free to comment below.
Wedding Venue: Sleepy Hollow Bed & Breakfast in Clemson, SC
Photographer: Jessi Nichols Photography. She was here for our entire engagement. She took our engagement pictures at Clemson, my bridal portraits at Clemson's botanical gardens, and of course our full wedding day!
Wedding Dress: designer- Cassablanca. I purchased the dress from The Dress in Mauldin, SC
My Wedding hair: Nika Hanis and her friend came to our hotel and made us all look beautiful by doing many of my girls hair.
Caterer: Voo Doo Barbeque in Greenville, SC. Our menu included Barbeque, jerk chicken, collard greens, corn pudding, and Mac n cheese!
Necklace: purchased from Belk in February 2014
Earrings and Headpiece: both purchased from The Dress in Mauldin, SC.
Shoes: Michael Kors purchased from Belk
Garter: purchased off Etsy
Suits: purchased from Joseph A Banks. We got an amazing deal, but they were a bit hard to deal with.
Bridesmaids Dresses: Designer- Bill Levkoff. My girls were able to save a great deal by buying dresses from previous bridesmaids who had been in a wedding a year earlier, or others bought them online.
Bridesmaids earrings: purchased at Forever 21 in December 2013.
Ceremony Doors: My mom took these two doors off of bedrooms in an abandoned house that belongs to the family. After sanding them down to repaint them, she decided that she would just stick with the faded look the sander left. My dad made the top piece from fence post that were at his house. I drew out the words one weekend while I was home, and Mom painted them later that week. Mom and Dad definitely had their work cut out for them to build the stands to put it all together. They turned out perfect and were my favorite part of the wedding!
Officiant: Mr. Bill Brown. He is a wonderful family friend that has been over the Salkehatchie camp that we have done mission work at since I was a junior in high school.
Unity Cross: Instead of doing a candle, we chose to do a Unity Cross. Mom purchased this cross from Davids Bridal.
Cakes and cupcakes: Millie Fore is a family friend from Irmo, SC. She attends Salem UMC with my family and has made multiple cakes for our families weddings and other events.
Cake Topper: I made the cake topper from some left over burlap we have after making some of the wedding decor!
Center Pieces and other Decor: Mom and I put together all the of the center pieces before the actual wedding day to make sure we had enough. We collected items from around the house and bought a few random pieces from local thrift stores. We included dried babies breath, cat tails, and cotton in some of the jars as well.
Photo Booth: I wanted to do a homemade photo booth instead of the actual booths that people rent. This old couch was in Mom's back room at her house and we just picked up some random props for our guest to play with.
Bridesmaid Bouquet: Stuart's mom made all the bouquets including the mothers, grandmothers and honorary flowers.
Flower Girl Dress: I made the Tutus for the little girls. They were a pain in the butt to make, but I am glad to see that Sadie really enjoyed hers!
Bridal Bouquet: The broaches used to make my bouquet were from family members and a couple were purchased from Hobby Lobby or Charming Charlie's. Most of them belonged to my great grandmother, Alice Ann. When she passed away, my great grandfather gave them to me to play with. Others were owned by my great great aunt, Lucile, and a couple were Ma's!
Groomsmen Bouteniers: My mom made all if them from materials purchased at Hobby Lobby.
Bridesmaids shoes: Most bridesmaids wore Jack Rogers or an off brand that looked similar. My glittery pair in this picture are Jacks that were purchased from Monkey's in Greenville last fall. They have a little wedge heel.
