Rodan & Fields are the doctors who created Pro Active. In 2002, these two doctors extended their vision of bringing dermatology based skin care treatment to everyone. These products were originally available as a top selling clinical skin care brand in department stores, but the company realized that most sales were not from people walking by and seeing the product; it was from people using it and referring others to try it. Rodan & Fields removed their products from the department stores, and became the first skincare line to start the world of direct selling. Today, there are numerous Rodan & Fields independent business owners experiencing the income associated with sales volume that far exceed what leading department store chains were able to achieve.
So here is where my story starts!
I started nannying for a family in Greenville back in February. The mom was currently a partner in a CPA firm and needed some extra help during this busy tax season. Shortly after I started working for the family, she mentioned that she also sold Rodan & Fields in her free time. I had never heard of this product before and wasn't too interested in it. I mean I wash my face most nights already, why do I need something else!? She began to tell me of the wonderful opportunities that she was getting from the company including free IPad, a trip to Napa Valley and not to mention the extra income was nice! I still was pretty skeptical though. I had sold Premier Jewelry in the past, and I quit after a year. She explained how this was different from other sales positions like Premier though. With jewelry, someone may buy a neck-less once, and then its over. With Rodan & Fields, you have preferred customers who continue to buy these products. If they see results in their skin, they are going to come back for more. I still wasn't convinced. A month later, she invited me to an interest meeting to meet other women who sell these products. Immediately, when I walked in the door and met everyone, I realized how beautiful all these women were! Their faces were flawless and their stories of selling the skin care were even better! Many of the women were mom's who had tireless jobs that kept them away from their family and kids more than they would like. Their success clearly showed by how happy and confident they were in the products. I was pretty sold! I went home that night and told Stuart and this opportunity that had come in my path that I wanted to pursue. Of course like any other soon to be husband, money was the biggest issue. There are multiple start up packages that you can choose from to start selling these products, and he didn't want me putting money towards a job before the wedding. We made a deal that after the honeymoon, I could start this new venture!
Last week I ordered my start up kit and started using the Reverse regimen to get rid of sun spots. All of you know how many freckles I have, and the past year, I have noticed that some of them are becoming larger brown spots instead of small cute freckles.
